Haircut turnover and clientele

Haircut is the most frequent and common service provided by a salon. The word “haircut” has the same root as “hairdresser”. It may not be the most expensive service, but it is one of the most profitable.

The recommendations that can come from hair cutting for other services can significantly increase the average rate. It is actually another form of marketing.

Haircut turnover

For the first nine months of 2022 the turnover of the haircut service has increased by 7,7% compared to the same period of 2019. Of course, a large part of this raise is due to price increase.

As it seems, although during lock downs a lot of people cut their hair at home, this year they started to visit the salons again. This fact in combination with the raise of the pricelists contributed to increased turnover.

Haircut Clientele

As clientele we define the name list of the customers, that have been served for the specific service during a set time of period, which we want to examine.

The haircut clientele is 69% of the total salon female clientele (average of 63 salons) for the first nine months of 2022.

Conclusion
This means that 1 out of 3 women choose to cut their hair, regardless of if they are choosing another service too, as hair dying or hairstyle. The haircut is extremely important, as through this we can promote the other services too.
